Logo Designing Competition by MBA Department

Creativity is the rule of nature. If a man stops being creative, he is bound to loose his existence. This not only gives a meaning to his existence but also he takes pride in his creations. Similarly, every business requires innovations and enthusiasm of fresh blood to keep itself updated and relevant in the ever changing cut throat competitive world. So, what best can be than to develop these skills in the budding managers. Moving ahead with this thought in mind, MBA Deptt. of Baba Farid College of Management and Technology organized a logo designing inter college competition named “Battle of Minds--Unleash the Power of Knowledge & Creativity”. True to its name, it was a competition where the students could use their creativity to the core and also show their presentation skills as well. They were asked to participate in teams of two and were asked to design a logo for an automobile company. They were required to design it in such a way that the values and name of the company is easily identifiable. The judges made sure that the logos are original and not infringe any existing copyrights. They were allowed to use different colors and were given the time of forty five minutes for the same. This small event was at the inter-department level and high enthusiasm was seen among the students. They made the best efforts to present their logo in the most interesting and clear manner. There were fifteen teams from various Colleges Like Baba Farid College and Baba Farid College Of management and technology where the students of MBA, BBA, Commerce, PGDBI and ATHM took participation. The winning team was of Sartaj singh  and Bhavneet singh from BBA-5th Semester of Baba Farid college. The runners up were Gurpreet Kaur and Rubaldeep Kaur from B-Com Professional of baba Farid College. Third was the team from MBA 3rd semester with Kulwinder Singh and Sandeep Singh as the members of Baba Farid College Of management and technology. The sight of students trying very hard to be creative and unique was indeed heart warming. Such competitions help one to understand that more the victory, it is the efforts that makes one successful and content in life. Really, it’s called learning with fun!!!
